Page based symbols not scaling correctly in viewports

Having a problem with page based symbols not maintaining their scale in viewports once the viewport is closed.

We have a set of id tags originally created in vectorworks 2018 and exported into 2019.  In 2018 all works as normal.  In 2019 the tags will show as the right scale when inside the viewport.  but once the viewport is closed the tag with scale back down to what appears to be 1:1 scale (which the original tag were creating at).

 

Tested it is happening to all page based symbols.

 1st images shows the symbol with the viewport open at the correct scale.  2nd image the viewport is closed the symbol is in the middle of the red circle.

 

If I export the 2019 file as a 2018 format and open in 2018 it all works as correctly.  This issue also happens if the symbol is created from scratch in 2019.

was able to resolve this issue by changing Vectorworks Preferences>Display>Navigation Graphics>change to Good Performance and Compatibility.

Thank you very much for posting this. I had the same problem with a crucial, heavily used custom symbol. Changing the navigation graphics, as you suggested, did the trick.
