Kevin K
Ok, here is the VW challenge of the day....because I am going nuts trying to sort this out. In a nutshell, I need to calculate the surface areas for applying stone to different objects. Think of a patio slab that would receive a tile or stone surface on the top of the slab. There is a worksheet function that will give results for the overall surface area for all faces of that slab extrusion, but I am only interested in the top portion of the slab, which will give a square foot quantity of only that face of the slab. Any worksheet script masters out there know the magic formula? I could achieve this by using the extract tool to peel off just that face, but that would be a LOT of extra work in my case. Miguel Barrera
You can get the volume and then divide it by the height of the slab to give you the surface area. You just need to check for the unit of measure returned by the functions Quote Link to comment
Kevin K
Now why did I not think of that! Thanks Miguel Quote Link to comment
