In theatre design it is usual to set the stage height to Z=0. Often stages are "raked" or sloping. When this is the case I create a "Rake" working plane to allow for this. This means that Z values of scenic items are automatically adjusted to the sloping stage when drawn. As part of my workflow I have several layers referencing the stage level and I have to remember to switch working planes when I use these layers.
It would be a real improvement for me if one could assign a Working Plane to a design layer as part of the New Design Layer dialogue box in the same way that one assigns the Elevation and Wall heights.
