Tapping
Hello, I have another question from my switch from Autocad LT to Vectorworks 9.5. Autocad LT has a copy command that allows you to copy (duplicate) objects and position them in relation to two other points (such as relative to a near by line's end points). Is this possible in Vectorworks? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you, Tom Quote Link to comment
to222mo
Katie, Thank you for the help. Actually, I did some more searching of this forum and found a plug-in that accomplishes what I wanted to do. The link given was http://www.vectordepot.com/PlugIns1.shtml. Thanks again. Tom Quote Link to comment
Guest
There are many duplicate options, such as duplicate array, duplicate by a fixed distance, clicking on an object and pressing the alt or option key duplicates the object on top of itself which you can then move to a specific distance using the data display bar .. there are a few other options. You should look at the duplicate tool in the User's Guide to see if that's what you are looking for. Please note, there is an AutoCAD to VW training CD that correlates with VW 11, however most of the material covered will also apply to VW 9 and 10. You may want to consider purchasing this trining resource to help you make the switch. Quote Link to comment
