Decmial Points for Lineweight

bcd

Question

1 point = 1/72 of an inch

1 MIL = 1/1000 of an inch

1 mm = yep, 1mm.

Where the graphics world has widely accepted points as a convenient and perhaps nostalgic way to describe line thickness it has also wisely decimalized them.

In VW we still see 1/8 and 3/16 where we should be seeing .13 and .19 (or .15 and .2). Illustrator has done this forever. Can we also have decimal points?

eg. this from Illustrator
