Spotlight Colour properties/Class overrides

markdd

Question

When the class properties of Lighting devices have been set in the Spotlight Preferences Dialogue (for instance colour), I would like to be able to override those properties in viewports. This functionality existed in previous versions of Vectorworks but has now been disabled.

I use Lighting symbols with multiple classes so that I can display what is displayed in various different viewports. The automatic colour assignment function of a Lighting device is great, but sometimes it is not helpful to have it all the time when viewing designs across different viewports. The ability to override that function would be great. I sense that the disabling of this in 2017 is in order to facilitate the Data Visualisation function of viewports. Maybe a middle way could be found so that only attributes that are set BY CLASS are affected.

Many thanks
