Opening file requires Acrobat Reader

I can't open drawings that I've already created. I get the message: "Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view this file. Would you like to install Adobe Acrobat Reader?" I have Acrobat 5.0 installed. I can launch VW10.1 but can't open my files. I made sure that Adobe Distiller wasn't selected in the print setup.

I'm using an IBM A31 Thinkpad with Windows XP.

Are you opening VW documents or PDF files?

If you think you are opening VW docs, it looks like the file association for .mcd has been switched to Adobe for you.

To fix this, right click on a VW document (should be something.mcd).

Select Properties.

Where it says "Opens With", click on Change.

Select the VW application you wish to have open your VW docs.

You may want to select to use this setting with all .mcd documents.
