jnr
Katie: Is there any way, once a hatch is created in a file, to transfer or re-use it in new project? I read the manual and can't seem to find a way to do it. (getting tired of re-creating say, 4" tile for each new project) Quote Link to comment
Guest
A hatch is the same as a resource such as a record, symbol, etc. You can import it into another file just as you would import a symbol. If the file is not in the Favorites list, you can open it... select that file from the OPEN FILES section of the Resource Browser. Make the file you want to import the hatch into the active document via the Window Menu. Click on the hatch in the RB and import. That will import that hatch from that file into the currect active drawing. Then you can apply it like normal after selecting your "new" file from the Open Files list in the RB. Does that make sense? jnr
Looks more complicated than it may be. Thanks and I'll let you know if I have trouble. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
Copy any object with the hatch from the original drawing and paste it in the new drawing and the hatch will be imported. Quote Link to comment
