Kaare Baekgaard
I can only get a few random snaps in clip cube mode. Is there some setting I have overlooked? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 19, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 19, 2016 It should not interfere with snapping when working normally. It looks like there was a bug or two about it in 2015 but they were corrected by the time 2016 came around. In a few tests here in 2016 it seems to be working. Does it happen in any document for you even after rebooting? Quote Link to comment
Kaare Baekgaard
Hi Jim The problem remains after restarting the program. But it is only in OpenGL – wireframe is fine. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 19, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 19, 2016 OpenGL in all documents? Also, which version are you using currently? 2016 SP2? Quote Link to comment
Kaare Baekgaard
I found the setting: I had the 'Use occluded selection and snapping' setting on in VW preferences under the 3D tab. Sorry for the inconvenience. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 19, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 19, 2016 Gah, thank you for finding it! I completely forgot that existed. I was tearing through the snapping options looking for something related to it. Quote Link to comment
Kaare Baekgaard
Actually it is kinda a flaw. The geometry is not really occluded, but the setting ignores the clip cube and treats the now visible geometry as if it were still hidden... Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 19, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 19, 2016 Yep I submitted something on that awhile ago, I just totally spaced on the two settings being related. I will add this thread to the case and give it a bump. Quote Link to comment
