M_Fedoruk
Searched in various places, could not find this one. I just upgraded - iMac to PowerBook G4 / Vectorworks 8 to 10 / OS9 to OSX. There's a lot of changes, some annoying, some good. Life goes on, change is inevitable but my question is... I use GraphiteMM and TektonMM fonts (predominantly) - when I use the text editor on an existing text block it shows the text style correctly but when I click out of the box the style reverts to a different styleIs there a workaround or can I disable the text format feature? I've also noticed these font disappearing and reappearing at different zooms within the drawing (this was a similar problem in MInicad 5). any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
Guest
The fonts are bad. It is either missing the PS or the bitmap font within the font suitcase. Font Suitcases under OS 10 are problematic with carbonized applications (works fine with cocoa applications). When missing iether the bitmap or PS portion within the suitcase, the mentioned problem will occur. There is a utility called Font Doctor at versiontracker.com. You can download this and install it and it will check the computer for fonts. It will then tell you anything that's wrong with the fonts. I can guarantee that if you download and run that, Font Doctor will find something wrong with those fonts. If you grabbed these fonts from OS 9, that will not work. You will need to obtain the OS X version of the fonts from Adobe. There is a tidbit about this on one of the printing posts in the printing section. It should be one of the most recent ones.
