Oliver Barkovic
Hello Everything was fine until last week but now... When I click the Text edit button all I get is a red dot and no cursor or a red bounding box and no cursor. When I try to edit previously added text I also get no cursor but I can edit the text "blind" i.e. the text is edited but only visible after I exit the edit box. Thanks in advance. Art V
When I try to edit previously added text I also get no cursor but I can edit the text "blind" i.e. the text is edited but only visible after I exit the edit box. This may be a graphics card/driver related issue as I have noticed similar behaviour in Microsoft Visio on occasion, though I have not been able to replicate it predictably. Did you check if your graphics card drivers are up to date and that you have enough memory on your system? Quote Link to comment
W1nnAdesignR
Im also having this problem with Text editing. I have plenty of memory, is there somewhere i can check if i have the updated drivers that would affect this? Many thanks Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 3, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 3, 2016 Provide the information from your machine (like you see in my signature) and I can take a look. However generally Text alone isnt affected by graphics card drivers, normally a driver issue would cause trouble all over the place. Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 4, 2016 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 4, 2016 Im surprised you were able to get Vectorworks 2010 running on OS X 10.11, it is not supported on that operating system and I was not able to get it running stably here either. Vectorworks 2016 SP2 and Vectorworks 2015 SP5 are the only two versions of Vectorworks rated as compatible with OS X 10.11. Quote Link to comment
W1nnAdesignR
It"s been absolutely fine until this little text change which is why I thought it was something i'd changed by accident in settings. Appreciate you looking into it and if you hear of anything else please let me know. Regards Quote Link to comment
W1nnAdesignR
It was unstable too for me but a driver update solved the problem before. Quote Link to comment
