It would be nice to be able to specify the number of subdivisions on a surface (e.g. have a cube have 4 or 9 subdivisions instead of 64 as it is now by default)
It would also be nice to be able to further subdivide a single or a few subdivisions to allow for finer editing control in that area while leaving the other subdivisions as they are.
