J. Wallace
I seem to have some challenges with the parking tool. I have a couple of view ports created to show a landscape and parking area. Parking lines have been colored white to show up on the asphalt. The asphalt is a hardscape object that is 1" thick, parking lines are set at 1.25". They show up in the 2d overhead and in the 3d viewport in open GL but not in either fast or final quality RW... Not sure if this is a 2015 bug? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 10, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 10, 2015 This is likely an extension of these two issues: https://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=208352 https://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=197782 The parking spaces are drawn as 2D planar geometry, which doesn't appear as you would want in most cases in 3D. You may be able to mitigate or work around it by moving the parking spaces up in Z a slight amount, to bring them away from the 3D surface, but it will depend on the rendering mode used. J. Wallace
Thanks Jim. After playing around I got it to work. Don't ask me how...Thank you again. Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 10, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 10, 2015 If its intermittent, it can be that the parking spaces and the geometry under them are coplanar, which can often be fixed by moving them slightly up in Z as well. Quote Link to comment
