VW-PAD-Bristol-2014
I am looking to show the Hectares and Acres of a site using the space tool. So far all I can get it to show the units of the document. Is there a way I can put in a calculation to the label to allow it to show both? Many thanks Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted March 2, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted March 2, 2015 I had thought this was possible with Dual Dimensions (Controlled in the Units dialog under File > Document Settings) but that only applies to linear dims, not areas. I will check if there is a way around it, if not I will submit a request. It IS possible to include this data manually by customizing the space label symbol and adding the secondary unit, but it wouldn't be automatic then, not much more useful than just adding a text object ontop of the Space. Tim Harland
You can use the Formula field in the Additional Data tab to multiply the area by the required modifier i.e. =#Gross Area#*.0.40468564 to show hectares if your units are acres or the inverse. Quote Link to comment
VW-PAD-Bristol-2014
Thank you Tim, That is a great help. Jim would it be possible to add this to the wish list as I think it would a good feature if it was a simple drop down. Many Thanks Quote Link to comment
