Cadplan Architecture
this just happened when I started up VW today, I also got a message to ask me to check that there is a plug-ins folder in VW2015 which there is. Any ideas? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 9, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 9, 2015 Was it working fine and then this started suddenly? Or was an OS update/migration done recently? Quote Link to comment
Cadplan Architecture
yes it started without warning Jim, no OS upgrade or migration Quote Link to comment

Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted February 9, 2015 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted February 9, 2015 Does it do this in any workspace? Are you using a customized one/does switching to a default one have the same problem? If so, I have had a few backup utilities and security software packages like MacKeeper do this in the past, they get overzealous and start grabbing bits of Vectorworks' plugin guts and relocating them to backup or quarantine locations, but it has been a rare issue for awhile now. I recommend backing up and then resetting the preferences on that machine via these steps first: http://kbase.vectorworks.net/questions/1099/Resetting+Vectorworks+Preferences But if you do that and the red Xs are still there, a reinstall is the only way to fix it, as the plugins likely ARE gone. Cadplan Architecture
Thanks Jim. Will this work with Yosemite as it's not listed? Quote Link to comment

Cadplan Architecture
All sorted, The re-set procedure didn't work so I downloaded VW 2015 from the VSS server and dis a fresh instal. The service packs were all part of the download so it was quite quick- 15-20mins to download and instal. No red crosses now, the problem seems to have been caused by migration to a new Mac.
