Redkite
Hi Wondering if anyone can help. I'm trying to fill an object with a solid hatch. Please see attached pictures. The 2 issues I'm coming across is that: 1. The object is not becoming fully hatched 2. Some of the objects lines are being covered up Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 6, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 6, 2014 If you zoom in and out does it change how much of the fill is included or missing, or does it remain the same? What type of object does it say that object is in the Object Info Palette? (It isn't selected in the screenshots) is it a polygon, polyline or something else? Quote Link to comment
Pat Stanford
The diagonal lines look like you have some open and some closed polygons. If you don't have a closed poly, VW will make an extra edge to close it and fill to there. It looks to me like the circular room is made up of at least four or five separate polygons/polylines. If this is the case, try making sure the end points are coincident and then Add Polys. Quote Link to comment
Redkite
Hi Thank you for you help. UPDATE: I had to join quite a lot of the lines and do the laborious task of combining into surfaces. It took me a couple of hours but I got there in the end. Cheers Stocky AKA Redkite Quote Link to comment
