Andy Broomell
I will soon be drafting something for a client who only runs VW2010. I use VW2014 and am wondering how I would go about converting the file I create to 2010 format once I'm finished. Thankfully there will be no back-and-forth; only one conversion is needed. The 'Export Previous Version' command only goes back to 2011. Any thoughts? Thanks! -Andy Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted May 27, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 27, 2014 The professional US versions can export back to VectorWorks 12. I know the education versions are limited to fewer versions back, is that what you are presently using? If it isn't that you have an educational version, sometimes custom workspaces just don't have the export options updated properly, in that case you should be able to see them again by switching to a default workspace then going to File > Export. Andy Broomell
Yes, I'm on the educational version so that must be the case. But it sounds like I can open the file in a professional version of 2014 and backsave as needed. (I'm aware it will be watermarked but that's fine since it's for an educational institution). Thanks Jim! Quote Link to comment
