Viewport adding 2% to viewport scale when inported from dwg

Recommended Posts

Im importing a drawing from a dwg that consists of :

- a design layer at 1:1

- a sheet layer

- a viewport at 2:1

But when i import it into vectorworks everything comes across fine about from the viewport its now at 2.020:1.

Similarly a viewport that should be 20:1 is coming in at 20.20:1.

Ive checked the original file in autocad and its correctly in at 2:1 and 20:1 respectively

Any idea why this is happening ?

Yes, sorry for the delay.

I am seeing the same things you are, however I am not fluent enough in ACAD to tell for sure if its something simple that can be changed before importing, or if it is something happening DURING import. I have submitted the file, I'll let you know as soon as i hear anything back.

Im guessing its either that (units mismatch) or a precision setting of some kind.

However I tried a few other imports of the same file picking different units manually rather than letting it determine them automatically, and the scale of the viewports was still off.

The scale of the objects on the design layer seems to be dead on however, which I have not seen before. Normally if one is off, they both are.
