Framing a Wall

Hello VW community, I have a question about using the framing tool. Is it possible when framing a wall to change the header size framing member above the doors and windows?

There are no options in the Wall Framer tool for headers.

Unfortunately, the wall framing tool need serious improvement.

Been on the wish list for years.

There are no options in the OIP or Settings for headers.

When you display the worksheets, it reports 2x4 headers.

Need more options for corner studs and partition stud intersections.

Need choices for qty. jack studs at headers and at window sill.

Need choice for # of jack studs under header based on header span.

Need choice for where to place header, directly over opening or at underside of top plates.

Choice of plate at underside of header.

So basically once I have run the framing tool, I will need to go back and manually update the headers and all information that is incorrect.

Yes

You can change the header size(s) in the takeoff worksheet.

I will do some more exploring into this.

I admit it has been awhile since I used the wall framing tool due to its limitations.
