taoist
Anyone have or can inform me as to how to go about creating a script to draw profile trim for doors and windows. I want to be able to select a profile and then using EAP (unless better method)draw this trim so it shows in 3D. See image of result I usually do by no script methods. Miguel Barrera
My suggestion would be to draw what you want manually & export it as a vectorscript. This will give you at least, a clue of how to do it in code. The EAP may not work to draw the corners correctly. Quote Link to comment
taoist
Miguel, Thanks. Are you saying that using EAP in a script it won't miter the corners? That would not be good. Quote Link to comment
Miguel Barrera
I say it may not be possible because I have not tried it. By definition an extrude will have the ends squared and you will need to miter the ends somehow. There is a possibility that if you can create a closed square loop for the path, the ends may get miter. Quote Link to comment
taoist
Miguel, OK. When I manually create an EAP for window trim (rectangle) and choose profile, then do EAP the corners miter fine. I still need to try this using a script. Quote Link to comment
