rneville
Hi all, Been trawling the entire net for hours trying to find a solution to this with no luck. I really really need to create a Label legend that extends to a front view. I have a show coming up with nearly 800 fixtures hung vertically across a set - not a simple grid but all over the place, and inserting individual text labels into a viewport is just not an option. I'm looking for any option here... it's killing me! Cheers Rich Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted January 28, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 28, 2013 Label Legends are 2D only. The recommended method for vertical positions is to use the Model and Plot view command. You begin by drawing all positions horizontally in plan view. Then Run the Model and Plot view command. Now you will have a 2D plot view that is linked to 3D views. You can dimension and annotate the 2D view. You can rotate and move the lighting positions with the light attached in the 3D model. It takes a little while to get used to the document structure that is created but it gives you a excellent plan view and a 3D model that are linked but can be arranged separately.
