Roman
I'm trying to paste a wall with a door for a detail drawings. I'm just drafting, and I get this obtuse error. The only phrase that comes to mind is "WTF?" Quote Link to comment
Kizza
Its because you are importing a door in the "Door" class from one document into another document with a "Door" class. Workaround is to place the door into a newly created class in the source document (name it anything but Door) and then copy/paste to the new document. Apparently this is a bug... Dieter @ DWorks
You have a symbol with the same name. Just rename that symbol first. Quote Link to comment
Roman
Right, so something that could be automatically resolved by VW, "Do you want to append the conflicting name?" has to be done manually. How long does that take? Furthermore "Door" is a symbol built into VW. Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
Furthermore "Door" is a symbol built into VW. true, but its format will be created in the drawing when you first place a door. So before using it, the name isn't used and you can use it for other things. Quote Link to comment
