Tom Klaber
Has anybody else experienced this? I will be trying to move an object horizontally or vertically so I have my shift key pressed, but then I loose the ability to snap to the edge of an object. When I release the shift key, I then snap - but I will no longer be vertically aligned. Quote Link to comment
Farookey
Hi... If I am understanding you correctly... Try this... Select the object (at it's snap point) without pressing the Shift key, and begin to move the object. Thereafter you can hold Shift to align properly. Let us know if this helps... Tom Klaber
Thanks - I have no problem selecting the object I would like to move. After I have selected object "in my grasp" I would like to move it horizontally to align with a second object. When I press the shift key to keep the object horizontal, I loose the ability to snap to the edge of the aligning object. When I release, I can snap to the edge but it will not snap on the horizontal. I think it may have to do with 3D snapping. Quote Link to comment
