printing - help!

I have downloaded the 9.5.1 updater, now I am having printing problems.

- Runtime Error when I print to my hp1220 inkjet - Postscript error when I print to the plotter and acrobat distiller - Acrobat writer, the text comes out with each letter rotated counterclockwise in a line

all these problems with a new file and a single piece of text.

I have un installed and re installed with the same problem, even tried to just re install up 9.5, same problem.

I am using windows xp pro

Jet, Are you using the 1220c or 1220 c/ps driver? What version of the driver are you using ?

Is this your default printer?

If this is not your default printer, can you set it to your default printer and see if that makes a difference?

If you have other printers installed, can you remove those printers so only the 1220c is available in Control Panel>Printers and set it to the default printer?This is for testing purposes.

There is another user that posted the same problem on the Mechanical portion of the Message Board - Username: GAMO. His problem was resolved by reinstalling the print driver for the 1220c. You can refer to his post if you would like for more information.
