DWG to VW Conversion - What is happening?

Recommended Posts

I don't know if anyone can help me but when I get DWG files from this architect they import into VW as a 3D symbol. Normally all layers are displayed but without vertical separations between floors and without proper alignment (stacking). I really don't know what to do with it or how to specify that they save it so it is displayed correctly in VW. All the info is there and if I edit the 3D symbols I can find the info I need but this is not worth the time it takes. Can anyone give me a hint. If you look on the Sheet layer after exporting you'll see the floor plans are not stacking and I can't seem to control the different layered info.

Thanks in advance for any help

Terrible mess.. blocks in blocks in blocks above another blocks ...

Objects aren't flattened.

It is probably exported from some 3D BIM apps...

Ask them to export it more carefully .. exploded, cleaned, flattened
