StaticDOS
Howdy gents whats the easiest way to get a bill of materials out of vectorworks, the only way I can see of doing it is attatching a record to an object and then creating a report, is there a quicker way? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
Depending what you want to record, you can create a report by attaching a record, but you can also find things by their class. For example, you could find all the walls on the exterior wall class with the worksheet, and report the gross or net wall area. From the net wall area, you can calculate the number of interior dry line sheets, or the number of exterior bricks. You can find objects by their layer, class, lineweight, line color, name, and so on. The Essential Tutorial Manual (http://www.nemetschek.net/training/guides.php) has a chapter on worksheets, or you can find short manuals that cover worksheets here (http://www.archoncad.com/electronic-manuals.html).
