calandra pentagon
HI, IM HAVING TROUBLE WITH VECTRWORKS LINES. WHEN I DRAW A VERY THICK LINE, I WANT THE TIPS OF THIS LINE TO BE SQUARED OFF, BUT THEY ARE COMING OUT ROUNDED EVERY TIME, FOR LINES AND DASHES, AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE ATTACHED JPEG. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHETHER THERE IS A FUNCTION TO MAKE THE TIPS OF THESE LINES AND DASHES SQUARED OFF? ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZING! THANKS Quote Link to comment
Guest Wes Gardner
In Vectorworks Preferences, under the Display tab, on a Mac turn OFF Quartz Imaging, on a PC it's called GDI You will loose transparency when you do this... Quote Link to comment
MullinRJ
VW does not have a setting for LINECAPS. Would that it did. I control all of my linecaps outside of VW, but this is not a viable solution for the masses and requires a LOT of forethought when trying to draft with multiple trimmings on the ends of Lines, Arcs, Polylines and Polygons. File a WISH. It's a major shortcoming of minor feature that should have been implemented long ago. While you are waiting, you might try to script a solution, or pay someone to do it for you, that will convert centerlines to outlines. Good luck. Raymond Quote Link to comment
RubenH
Vw used to draw the square brush built in Mac Os. That was a huge problem... Os X changed it to a round one. It's really better. Anyway, is something regarding to the platform and not Vw. Edited April 15, 2010 by Mr. Gog Quote Link to comment
