Hello there. i am trying to achieve some variation in the shaddows cast by my lights in vectorworks 2010. i would like to have a soft, almost blended shaddow around my solid objects rather than the sharp shaddow which seems to be the standard, and wondered if anyone knew of a way to do this? If anyone could help me at all i would be most grateful! thank you.

thank you for the reply, PC user here on VW 2010. sorry about the caps, i had not even realised as i am used to using them in our drawings. right thank you for this, so basically i just add it to my fonts directory? nice one i will try this now. Cheers!

HELLO ALL, I AM TRYING TO WORK OUT HOW TO IMPORT A NEW FONT INTO VECTORWORKS, CAN ANYONE TELL ME IF THIS IS POSSIBLE AND IF SO, HOW IT CAN BE DONE? ITS SUCH AN EASY THING TO DO IN ILLUSTRATOR, BUT I CANT SEEM TO WORK OUT HOW TO DO IT IN VECTORWORKS. ANY HELP WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. THANKS!

HI THERE! DOES ANYBODY KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO DO A LIGHT ANIMATION IN VECTORWORKS 2010, WHEN IN A PLAN VIEW, THAT SHOWS HOW THE LIGHT MOVES THROUGHOUT THE DAY? DOES THE PLAN NEED TO BE BUILT IN 3D, OR CAN YOU DO IT IN 2D? I HAVE HEARD THAT THIS CAN BE DONE WITH A 2D PLAN BUT I AM STRUGGLING TO SEE HOW THIS IS POSSIBLE! IF ANYONE DOES KNOW IF THIS IS POSSIBLE? IS THERE SOMEWHERE THAT I CAN GET THE INFORMATION ON HOW TO DO IT? THANKS SO MUCH! :grin:

HELLO! i need a way to open a solidworks file in vectorworks, does anybody know how the solidworks file would need to be exported in order to open it in vectorworks? or alternately, is there any kind of conversion software available to enable this transition? any help or advise would be massively appreciated! Hi, i wonder if anyone can help me, when you have completed a plan drawing in vectorworks, is there a way that you can change the settings of the dimensions over the entire document, without having to select every single dimension individually and change the settings (ie: the text offset etc etc). im sure its something really simple that im just missing but if anyone could shed any light on this, i would be really grateful! thanks!

HI, IM HAVING TROUBLE WITH VECTRWORKS LINES. WHEN I DRAW A VERY THICK LINE, I WANT THE TIPS OF THIS LINE TO BE SQUARED OFF, BUT THEY ARE COMING OUT ROUNDED EVERY TIME, FOR LINES AND DASHES, AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE ATTACHED JPEG. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHETHER THERE IS A FUNCTION TO MAKE THE TIPS OF THESE LINES AND DASHES SQUARED OFF? ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZING! THANKS
