GWS
When I try to draw either a button head bolt or a flange head bolt VW only creates a standard socket head bolt. I was hoping that this would be corrected in SP2. Has anyone else had this problem? Quote Link to comment
Guest Tomu
What series are you using (inch, metric, etc.)? Also what size? Quote Link to comment
GWS
I'm using ISO and DIN in any size (metric) Quote Link to comment
Guest Tomu
There is a mistake in the file VWMechanical_K.vss that is causing the problem. You can fix this yourself. Go to the application directory and then to the directory Plug-Ins\VW_Mech\Includes and open the file VWMechanical_K.vss in any text editor. Scroll to the bottom of the file and change "kSeriesDIN = 3" to "kSeriesDIN = 4" and "kSeriesISO = 4" to "kSeriesISO = 3". This will fix the problem. (Be sure to back up the file before making the changes.) Sorry for any inconvenience. Quote Link to comment

AndiACD
Hi Tomu, i've just been following your instructions in the above post and in the Plugin VWMechanical_K.vss file you mention, the text i found that you say should be modified are as follows:- kSeriesDIN = 3; kSeriesISO = 4; Do i take it that although there is a ; instead of " this should make no difference and will do the trick all the same, Right? Thanx Tom. Quote Link to comment
MullinRJ
Hi Andrew, Ignore all of the " Tom was just bracketing his text, but he left out the ; The text you are changing is in an $Include file, so it is part of a larger VectorScript and each line must end in a semi-colon. All Pascal rules apply. The terms kSeriesDIN and kSeriesISO are the names of constants that some other script (the Bolt PIO) is using. Long story short, your file should have the following two lines (in either order) when you are done editing: kSeriesISO = 3; kSeriesDIN = 4; Raymond Quote Link to comment
Guest Tomu
Raymond, Thanks for clarifying this. BTW - this has been fixed for SP3. Quote Link to comment
