Narrowing a search on the forum

How do you narrow a search on the forum?

Via the "advanced search tips," I've discovered that "+" is the way to add required terms. However, it seems that the forum returns any instance of ANY required term rather than all of them. Using quotes doesn't appeal, because many of the terms won't necessarily be used in the same sentence.

Is this possible?

You can do it through google.

Enter your search after the url in the search box.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls=com.microsoft%3Aen-us%3AIE-SearchBox&rlz=1I7ADBF&q=site%3Atechboard.nemetschek.net&btnG=Search

you have to use the format <+narrow +search>

will return all instances of "narrow" and all instances of "search"

Ray, that works. Brudgers, I tried as you suggested - what I found is: That "+" appears to be of limited help. Your tip was good, but I also found that the forum will ignore secondary terms if it can't find them i.e.

retrieves 14 posts

<+narrowing+fettucini> also retrieves 14 posts

I suppose Google has something going for it after all.

You have to put a space between "+narrowing" and "+fettucini"

With the space, you will get two results.

I'm curious how many people actually figured this out??
