Retaining dynamic cells after editing pre-formatted schedules

I edited the pre-formatted door schedule by modifying the original template. But now when I create a schedule using the new template, it does not automatically update and list all the doors/dimensions. How do I retain the the dynamic quality of the schedule?

You have to hit "recalculate."

The schedule is only "automatic" the first time you use it in a file,

after that you have to recalculate. Kind of like updating a viewport.

Also if you set any special criteria for the worksheet you might need

to revise that too. For example when you originally edited the door

schedule if you gave it a criteria say "Objects whose Layer is First Floor,"

but your new file doesn't have a layer called "First Floor," then

of course it will not list any doors. You would just have to edit the

criteria.
