ajs
I've made a half elliptical wall, created by making two halves of an ellipse, clipping one from the other, and then extruding the remaining shape upward. Then, by subtracting solids, I sliced along the wall, leaving me with two ends that are the same height, and the midpoint of the wall one foot lower. If you look at it from dead on front, you get a forced perspective effect. Now my question. How can I flatten this shape, to give me a pattern to create this shape full size? -ajs Quote Link to comment
rcarch
i have tried this on several ocassions while i was modelling prototype candlestick holders for one of my clients. unfortunately there is no easy way to do it within VW that i have been able to find. i wont even go into the methosd that i used since i will never do it again. if you have access to form z or some other modelling programs, they will do it automatically. sorry for the lack of help. good luck.
