mfundo
I'm not quite familiar with writing script, can anyone help write a script which automatically assigns all text to a particular class (like dimensions which are assigned to the dimension class or any other predetermined class by default)...or do I even need a scipt for this? Dieter @ DWorks
You can do custom selection and choose to make a script from it. You can't automaticly let text be in a certain class like the dimensions can. Quote Link to comment
mfundo
thanx I thought a script could be written for it. The problem is that we try to be desciplened with classes in our office(as we use them to control and manage our drawings) but sometimes poeple just forget so to make things simple i thought it could be done. Gerrit
You can write a script, actually as many as you like, to link all kind of text objects to one or more classes. The point is : you need to convince your coworkers to use these commands instead of the default Text Tool. Here's a small sample : FPatByClass;FillColorByClass;PenColorByClass;LWByClass; TextFont(GetFontID('Helvetica Neue')); TextSize(10);TextFace([]);TextSpace(2);TextJust(2);TextVerticalAlign(3); NameClass('Notes'); SetTool(-200); Quote Link to comment
