Wayfarer
Hi Guys, I've sent in a ticket thing to support for this but no reply yet. Would appreciate help if someone knows instantly what's going on... Problem: DXF/DWG does not do anything. I've read This threadwith the same problem. Brand new PC, brand new VW 2008 Fundamentals but no dxf export. I drew a simple shape (or use an existing project), click File>Export>Export DXF/DWG but nothing happens. Nothing. No erros, no thunder, zippo. Just like the other thread. Efforts to resolve I've edited the workspaces to no avail. Tried different files. Trialled under standard and classic and modified workspaces. System VW 2008 Fundamentals Sp2 (Build 83388)Up to date. Vista Business 64Bit (up to date) Intel Quad core q6600 Nvidia 8800gt (latest drivers) Corsair RAM 4-4-4-12 4Gb Cinema 4D MS Ofiice 2003 CorelDraw X3 and stuff. brudgers
I'd suspect Vista64. How much ram? Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Perhaps you are attempting to write to the Templates directory reserved by VW2008 for '.sta' files ( after all, it is a VW plug-in script that is handling the import/export routines ). Try saving the result to a different Directory outside of the Vectorworks filepath. Quote Link to comment
Wayfarer
I'd suspect Vista64. How much ram? Bingo. Worked by running in Xp compatability mode. (right click executable, choose properties, click compatability tab, run this proggy in Win XP SP2) thanks for the hint. Quote Link to comment
brudgers
No problem. From the board, I've gathered there are still some features that have difficulty with a 64bit OS... Quote Link to comment
