Scale Bar

I would like to see the scale bar function have an option to change the scale it`s at, overriding the scale of the layer it`s on. I like to put that kind of info on the sheet layer so that I can easily copy and paste in place to other sheet layers and drawing files.

Do you realize that you can put the scale bar in the Annotaion of a viewport and it will take on the scale of the viewport.

If you really want to do it manually, why don't you just use the regular scale bar and put it on layers of the scales you usually use, convert it to a group and make a symbol from it. Then you will be free to put the wrong scale on a drawing any time you want ;-)
