Worksheet Grid Mystery

Recommended Posts

n the 8.5.2 version of VW, worksheets that are placed on the drawings appear without grid lines, even though the worksheet preferences are set to view grids. The only way I have found to see the grids is to manually enter border lines to the particular cells. Was this done on purpose, or am I missing a settings?

The Show Grid setting is the one you should be aware of having checked. This seems odd and I cannot duplicate the problem. I would Trash your Vectorworks Preferences and restart Vectorworks and see if this helps. If that does not help then contact Technical Support @ tech@nemetschek.net or 410.290.5114

Preference removal for the PC:

1. Make sure VectorWorks is not open.

2. Open the Windows Explorer

3. Click on C drive icon.

4. Click on Windows folder.

5. Click once in Contents of Windows pane on right then type "r" a

few times until "Regedit.exe" is selected.

6. Double click on "Regedit.exe" icon.

7. Click on the HKEY_CURRENT_USER expand (+) box.

8. Click on the Software folder expand (+) box.

9. Click on the Graphsoft folder expand (+) box.

10. Click on the VectorWorks 8 folder(s).

11. Press the Del (delete) key and click OK the the warning message.

12. Click on the (-) buttons to close the expanded folders.

13. Now click on HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE expand (+) box.

14. Click on the Software folder expand (+) box.

15. Click on the Graphsoft folder expand (+) box.

16. Click on the VectorWorks 8 folder(s).

17. Press the Del (delete) key and click OK the the warning message.

18. Launch VectorWorks again and reset your preferences.

Preference removal for the Mac:

1.Make sure VectorWorks is not open.

2.Go to your Hard Drive.

3.Open the System Folder.

4.Open the Preferences folder

5.Select the VectorWorks 8 Prefs file

6.Go to the File Menu and select Move to Trash

7.Launch VectorWorks and reset your preferences.

I hope this helps.
