J. Miller
I'm trying to get the current view name returned in a string format. Is there a way to do this? I can't seem to find one, unless I'm looking too hard for it. Thanks in Advance Jeff Miller Quote Link to comment
ccroft
Pretty sure there isn't a "ready-made". Are you looking for saved view names, or standard menu names like top, front etc? Quote Link to comment
J. Miller
Just the plain old simple standard name top, front, right, left, etc. You can do this with a viewport, I would like to do the same with the current Active layer Jeff Quote Link to comment
Charles Chandler
There's no easy way that I know of, so I did a routine that gets it the hard way... http://softwarecustomizationservices.com/Other/VSFR/PHP/main.php?name=GetView Quote Link to comment
J. Miller
thanks Charles. I was thinking about doing that, was just hoping there was an easier way. Jeff Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
The problem with GetView and SetView is that when VW is in plan view, it will read it as top view. You can use saved views instead, just save it, change it, set it back, and delete it. Quote Link to comment
