no request for the dongle

Hey! New Guy here. I'm being the evaluator on an academic licensed VW 12.5 version of Spotlight. I have a dongle and a paper sticker license # w/ my package. I believe that I accurately read and followed all directions for installation. There is a repeated admonishment not to install the dongle until instructed to do so. I was never asked or ordered to, so I haven't. The program runs in demo mode, and I tried inputing the dos path, as suggested in some VW tech support page, but to no avail. So how do get it to ask me for my dongle or license?

Plug the dongle in and then restart the computer - then launch VW.

If you still get the demo mode, you'll need to delete the registry keys associated with VectorWorks. If you need instructions on how to do this, please search the forum and you'll find numerous posts by me explaining this process.
