seanSF&A
This is probably a simple thing but it beats me. In one of my drawings the ground plane is shown with the I,J axis instead of the X,Y - can someone kindly tell me how to return the drawing back to X,Y ? Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
In the working planes palette, double click on "Ground Plane" to be sure you are in that coordinate system. Then, although i,j,k and x,y,z should be equal, I always click on "X,Y,Z" just to be sure. Then click on the eyeball-looking-at-grid icon, and you should be in Top or Top/Plan view. seanSF&A
Thanks Pete but that made no difference, the drawing stubbornly remains in I,J . I wouldnt mind so much except that this seems to have affected the constrained dimension tool when dimensioning 2d elevations created with convert copy to lines. measuring from the ridge to ground level the tool will only dimension in the I axis not the J axis so preventing height dimensions in my drawing. Its buggy behaviour like this that really lets this otherwise excellent software down. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Sean, What view are you in? Quote Link to comment
P Retondo
Sean, having a bit of a hard time understanding the problem exactly. When you have the Working Planes palette open, is the x,y,z or the i,j,k icon highlighted? When you put your 2d drawing in Top/Plan view, does this make the problem go away? I've never had file corruption that caused Working Planes not to function properly, but it is a possibility. Quote Link to comment
