The Cantor
I am on a Mac G3/233 as well as a Mac 8100 with a PowerPC750 G3 processor upgrade. I have tried over and over to achieve the "texture projection' effect as described in the Renderworks pamphlet that came with the VW/RW package. Has anyone else tried this? Any luck? I have confirmed and re-confirmed the preference settings. If anyone has had luck, please walk me through it....thanks Quote Link to comment
Guest
The easiest way to do a projection would be to fist have two (2) extruded objects one larger than the other. Then go to a side view and move them away from one another. Place a spot light behind the smaller extrude. Apply a texture to the smaller extrude and make the texture's very transparent. Render this in RenderWorks Raymaker and you should see the texture projecting onto the larger extrude. example. > -- / -- ] >= spot light -= light projection /= small extrude ]= large extrude If you set up a test like this you should end up with a projection. The Cantor
Normally I can walk and chew gum, but this is not happening. I even went as far as reinstalling Renderworks. Is there somwhere we could swap files to see what I assume is a setting that I do not have in correctly? thanks.... Quote Link to comment
The Cantor
Well, I ended up stumbling upon the answer myself. 'Ray Trace', not 'Mapped' needs to be checked under the Shadow Method in the LightWorks Raymaker Options. Hope this helps somebody else. Quote Link to comment
