leena Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 We are using Vectorworks v11.5 and I have been trying to send a file over to some people who are using DataCAD. They are saying that the files are coming in grouped, where they cant select anything. I would like to be able to send our drawings to them so they can work off of them. But so far, they are only able to trace over our drawings, and use them as a template to recreate the drawings. Any idea why the transfer isn't coming through alright? I've sent the file as both dwg and dxf formats and both transfer just about the same. Thanks for your help. Quote Link to comment
islandmon Posted September 8, 2006 Share Posted September 8, 2006 Create a simple drawing scale 1:1 with these objects : 1) paragraph of text 12pt Arial 2) polygon, square , circle & line 3) A symbol composed of #1&2 4) A Group Object composed of #1,2&3 Export via DXF See which ones work.
