william7
Has anyone else noticed that when you purge unused items in a Spotlight file, it will remove all data label definitions you have in the label folder? It has happened on my computer (Mac OS 10) and on a friend's cumputer which is a PC. Quote Link to comment
Guest
Depending on what you check in that box will determine was is removed. Class, symbol, and record formats will affect that. The drawing label symbol belongs to a class. If you have no drawing labels in the drawing, it will delete that class which will put the drawing label symbol in the None Class -- none the less making it un-usable when in the none class. It is also linked to a record format. Again, if you do not have one in the drawing, it will delete the record format, again making the function not usable. Lastly, if you don't have an instance of a lable in your drawing, it will delete the symbol defined by your label legend. The best thing -- put a label in the drawing before purging unused objects and you'll be safe with the label. Quote Link to comment
Jim_Allen
What I do is place each instance of my Label legends into my plot ( like I would an instrument) from my resources pallett then I do the purge of everything. If you don't place the legend onto your plot they do go away. Once the purge is complete you can delete the legends from the plot. Quote Link to comment
