Layer Colour

Jershaun

Question

There are many times where one wants to print out a sheet with all layers black and white but one or two layers with the colours of all objects as they are.

Document preferences don't help cause they make ALL layers black and white. "Colours" in the layer dialogue doesn't help either, cause it makes ALL objects in the layer the specified colour.

I wish there was a way to do this.

There is. Many ways, in fact, depending on exactly what you're trying to do and why.

You can assign black as the layer color of those layers you want to print in black.

You can temporarily turn off the layers you want in color and select everything else and change its color to black (and then perhaps Save As a variant of the original file).

You can use a combination of layer colors and class colors, and print using one or the other or both.

There are probably several other ways that I can't think of right now.
