MMGD Posted January 26 Share Posted January 26 Hi there. Is it possible to use a 'Snapshot' of the site model to do terrain modelling? I'm at design development stage after concept design agreed. At concept I'd done site modifiers on the original terrain site model. I want to start afresh now. I deleted the modified site model, but have snapshots (which look like terrains but are called snapshot in OiP instead of 'site model') of the original terrain. Wondered if I can use one of these rather than redoing the site model again. Hope this makes sense! Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Katarina Ollikainen Posted January 26 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 26 Hi @MMGD, if you ungroup the snapshot while in 3D view, you'll get a 2D image of the site, a mesh, and a set of contours with z elevation. Ungroup the contours, place them at the correct coordinates and use them to create a site model. 4 Quote Link to comment
