I have one sheet, in a file with multiple sheets, which, no matter how many times I update the 4 section viewports, the red/white highlight box remains around the viewport (although the 'update' tab in the OIP does not stay red...
Also, the viewports don't seem to respond to a crop object inserted, the parts of the section view outside of the crop remaining visible (although they do grey when in the 'crop' option on the 'edit viewport' comand (Neither 'Display viewport outside crop' and 'gray Outside crop' are checked....
