Data Tag from selection

Hello forum users.

I am trying to create a Data tag from a selection of trusses.

Is there a way to do this?

I can't figure out how to do this.

 

I try to get all the length of the used trusses in a selection.

As far as I know, this is not possible with a data tag.

I do wish the same result but sadly have not had the time to figure out a way around this.

 

Suggestion(how i solve it today):

Use Data visualisationon. Then each truss part gets a unique color, and you can have a legend of those colors and parts on the sheet layer.

If you use "auto color" this gives a nice rainbow color at first but it is completely useless in the real. But if you use it and then alter just the colors that look the same it is at least a bit quicker.
