2023 Elevation Benchmark Tool - Class Settings

Tim Harland

Question

Is it possible to have an new elevation benchmark set to use class settings for its graphic attributes? I'd like to be able to set the one benchmark style on different classes with different colours but as far as I can see you have to fix the class of the graphics in the benchmark style and when you place the benchmark there is no way of controling which class it is on?

Bump

There still doesn't seem to be a means to assign a class to each instance of this item like one can with other symbols and plugins.

When one wants to turn off/hide one set of benchmarks, they ALL turn off unless they are grouped and the group is assigned a class. Grouping of course has its own idiosyncrasies when they overlap.

In the Resource Manager right-click on the Elev BM + open the 'PIO Style Options' dialog. Here you can set the default insertion class for instances of the Elev BM. This can be by style (so cannot be changed per instance) or by instance (allows you to change the class after the fact).
