Delmer
Way back when, I had a Mac and a small piece of software called Alias Sketch. I really liked it. Alias is still evolving with a suite of modelling and rendering products. It appears Maya is the one most geared toward architecture. Has anyone used it and can they comment on its interaction with VW? http://www.alias.com/eng/products-services/industries/architecture/index.shtml Quote Link to comment
AndyM
Maya is a great program that can create fabulous renderings and animation. Unfortunately there is no easy reliable way to get your VW files into Maya. DXF export is the best way and not very good. My advice would be to check out Cinema 4D (www.maxon.net). It can do everything Maya can in regards to Arch Vis and has a nice plug in to get your VW files into C4D. It's also half the price. Quote Link to comment
Delmer
Thanks Andy, I have heard other good things about Cinema, thought I'd ask about Maya since the earlier Alias program was so good. You're right, I don't want to take 3D through DWG. It does say it will import eps though and that made me curious. I didn't think I could export eps in 3D. Quote Link to comment
