Importing georeferenced JPEG from Nearmap

LHSyd

Question

Attempting to import georeferenced JPEGS from nearmap.

Have checked the georeference of the file (CRS7856)

Have attempted to import 2 x image files from folders each with their jgw file attached

Both images come in approx. twice scale and centred over the drawing origin...not geolocated.

Have tried adjusting the units on import (should be metres) - no change.

Any tips, hints as to what I am doing wrong??

I answered this myself! It only works on Landmark, not on Vectorworks Architect.

This would be a super useful feature for the architectural package to have too.

We use nearmap downloads repeatedly for architectural and urban design work - and manually importing and scaling them is cumbersome/inaccurate.

The nearmap images are much better resolution and more up to date than the ones we are able to GIS reference in VW.
