If you have Wall/Slab/Roof components that use Materials you can use the following formulas in a Data Tag to return the various properties stored in the 'Construction' + 'Physical' tabs for those Materials:
But this only works in the case of Simple Materials. Compound Materials only have the 'Name', 'Description', 'Mark' + 'Keynote' fields to report on.
My request is either:
That it is made the case that a Data Tag will 'see' whichever Simple Material within the Compound Material is designated 'shown', so that you can label a Compound Material with a Data Tag + return the data attached to the primary constituent Material.
Or another approach would be for the 'Edit Material' dialog for Compound Materials to be expanded so that it contains the same 'Construction', 'Physical' + 'Custom Fields' tabs as a Simple Material. The fields in the 'Construction' tab could be populated from either of the constituent Simple Materials or you could select neither of them + instead enter new information. The fields in the 'Physical' tab could be self-populating + derived from the values entered for the Simple Materials e.g. lambda would be calculated based on the Wm.K values for each Simple Material based on the percentage split specified, but again with the facility to override this + enter your own value.
Request 2:
The ability to access the data stored in the 'Custom Fields' tab of a Material in Worksheets.

Request 1:
If you have Wall/Slab/Roof components that use Materials you can use the following formulas in a Data Tag to return the various properties stored in the 'Construction' + 'Physical' tabs for those Materials:
#WS_MATPROPERTYBYNAME(COMPONENTMATERIAL(1), 'materialproductname')#
#WS_MATPROPERTYBYNAME(COMPONENTMATERIAL(1), 'materialproductdescription')#
#WS_MATPROPERTYBYNAME(COMPONENTMATERIAL(1), 'materialmanufacturer')#
etc.
But this only works in the case of Simple Materials. Compound Materials only have the 'Name', 'Description', 'Mark' + 'Keynote' fields to report on.
